Define a Franchise in you own words

 

An independent business that sells goods or services in a particular location.

McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and Walmart are all examples of franchises.

A franchise is a business contract in which an independent business sells or markets the products of a larger firm.

Fast food restaurants, hotels, and motels.

A franchise is authorization granted to sell a companys goods or services in a certain area.

walmart and kmart.

Franchise: A business or a company that is world wide. for example: McDonalds.

A franchise is when a business becomes bigger and bigger and expands throughout the world.

a franchise is a business that sells a particular good (fast food for example) and has many locations around the world/state/country. All owned by the same coorpereation but ran by different people.

a franchise is a business that can be found pretty much anywhere. Ex. Jiffy Lube, Taco Bell. 

a franchise is a business that is found all over the country/world and is owned by one coorperation but ran by someone different in each location. Such as hotels and fast food places.


Franchise Pros and Cons

 

The pros of owning a franchise is you are the "main" seller and you are the "head honcho". 

The con of owning a franchise would be the cost and time it would take to run and own the business. Also if you aren't prepared or know anything about running a business.

The pros of a franchise is that you often have the support of a national campaign.

A con of a franchise is that you receive the wonderful marketing support from the franchisor, franchisees must pay these fees according to some contracts

pro of a franchise is you are in charge of everything and the con is having to deal with running and keeping everything organized.

Cons:Your the person in charge of a pretty bid business. so you have the responsibility of keeping things moving. Pros:since this business is probly pretty popular your making money.

Pros: Since its most likely popular if its a franchise, you will make alot of profit. Cons: It takes a lot of work to run a franchise.

pro: you are known almost everywere, you business makes alot of money and you can employ lots of people. Con: it takes a lot of money to start a franchise. It also takes alot of hard work, dedication, and determination.

Pro: you can almost anywhere and the business will be there. And they lots of money cause their everywhere. Con: the corporation decides things not the owner. Opening a franchise rather than starting your own business offers no guarantees of success.

Pro: your businesses is well known and you are in charge in your store. Cons: The corporation tells you what you can and can't do in the long run and it is a lot of work.
